Two (2) vacancies exist for a Math & Reading Remedial Teacher within the Office of Non-Public School Services for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

Qualifications:

• PA Reading Specialist certification and Elementary K-6 (or new PK-4 with 4-8) is required
• PA certification Math 7-12 or middle level Math preferred.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by MCIU upon hire)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for diagnosis of reading/math disabilities and

prescription of corrective activities for individual students having

difficulties with reading/math achievement. Coordinate an auxiliary

program to complement regular classroom instruction. Classes will

provide intensive small group instruction and assist students in

achieving success in regular classroom.

Estimated Work Days and Hours:

Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours per day

Salary:

$47,000 - $65,000
