A vacancy exists for a Network Administrator in the Office of Technology and Information Services with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree - Computer Science or technology major preferred
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience.

Possess advanced skills with Cisco, Traffic Manager type devices

Minimum of two Industry certifications required (MCSE, CNE, CCIE, etc)

Experience with DNS and IP administration

Expertise in LAN protocols such as HSRP, Spanning Tree Protocol, and VLAN trunking

Experience with TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP and EIGRP

Hands-on experience with WAN network topologies and Strong organization skills

Strong customer service skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Successful track record completing network engineering projects

Knowledge of caching technology, RADIUS and TACACS useful

Knowledge of Network Management tools, such as SolarWinds monitoring and Snort DDOS mitigation

Must be able to work unsupervised, be a self-starter, well organized and be able to multi-task

Ability to remain calm under high-pressure atmosphere

Must be a quick learner that embraces change
- Current child abuse, criminal history and FBI fingerprinting clearance within the year
Duties & Responsibilities:
To provide on-site and in-house systems management and engineering support for MCIU LAN and WAN infrastructure, application services, servers and storage systems.
Salary:
$67,200 - $92,800
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
